For those not in the know, or not on Fans of Grand Illusion, on Discord...

About 3 days ago, Quinn was booted off DeviantArt, summarily banned for alleged violations of some kind or other, without a chance to address whatever it is that resulted in the ban in the first place.

Meaning, she got no warning of any kind... no removal of said offending deviations, and no discussion with the mods to resolve the issue. No, they just decided to kick her off instead.

Apparently one of the violations in question was a impalement (as in the stage illusion) image

that they thought depicted an "underage" character... I've seen the image in question and it's

pretty obvious it's supposed to be Quinn herself - *an adult woman* - not a child!

I don't get it. This whole situation stinks.

As for the impalement image, I had an idea - if we can find out what character set it is, on Renderosity or Daz3D, we might be able to point to it, to show that in fact it represents

and adult female, not a teen, or whatever.

Other than that, I'm far from happy about one of our own being bullied like this. Mostly, it seems frivolous and capricous.

I recently contacted the mods here about changing the first 's' in my name to 'S' ... capitalizing it as it is, on my other accounts, such as at Model Mayhem and Discord, where it's spelled as "highStrangeness".  However, they refused to do this, as it's considered a name change even to change a minor thing like spelling/capitalization.  So, I have to be a Core member to do that as well.  All I ever wanted to was correct a mistake when I created this account.

I am not really happy about my response from the mods, and I really feel this is petty and a bit stingy in nature.  Is it really so damned hard to change an 's' to an 'S'? Dammit.

Unfortunately, I have sad news.  The model I just shot with recently (in the recent bondage images I posted), Evelyn Sinclair, was struck and killed by an oncoming CSX freight train near Lynchurg, VA, on October 8th.  I worked with her on September 13th, less than a month ago.  I'm really sad about this, but she was walking on railroad tracks, which is very dangerous.  I just wish she had considered how dangerous it really is.  She paid with her life, because of it.

I didn't know her very long, but I enjoyed shooting with her.  I just wish I had the time to have known her better, but now she's gone.  She was only 21 years old.
