Description
An illusion-themed prop, eventually for Daz Studio/Poser, that I am working on in Blender. It's a work in progress. I still haven't designed the base. The center blade is actually two blades, side by side. When it is finished, the two halves should separate.
I have a concept in mind for the base itself, a sort of interlocking design where beams project on either side of each box (both sides), so the inner (blade) side of the boxes have support. It's easier to show than tell --

I am still learning Blender but picking up skills quickly and I'm pretty comfortable with the program now. I hope to finish the prop within a month here, though I do not yet have Daz Studio. My ultimate goal here is to create a photo-realistic prop for extremely realistic renders, such as with the new Victoria 7 and the LuxRender engine.
When I am done, I plan to release the final prop to the community, free of charge.

Hmm. It's been about 4 years since I made this. It's something I could revisit. I never did around to finishing it, but now my skills with Blender are much better than they were years ago. I was just beginning with the program when I started on this prop.
